How to read it
Asking prices are what sellers hope for, not what cars bring. A model listing well above its recent sales usually means cars sit, prices get cut, or the best cars sell quietly while the rest wait. Mix matters too: if the listed cars have lower miles or better specs than the ones that sold, the gap is not a like-for-like comparison. Buying
Use the sold median as your anchor and the asking median as the seller's anchor. Ask how long the car has been listed and whether the price has been cut; the tracker shows price history for members.
