Known problems to check
Carbon-ceramic (PCCB) rotor replacement cost
PCCB is standard; discs are replaced for chips/cracks or wear and are roughly 10x the cost of iron rotors. Mainly a concern on tracked cars.
Fix: Inspect discs and pads before purchase; replace or convert to iron rotors.

No model-specific pattern faults reported
Porsche stated the 911 R's engine was not affected by the 991.1 GT3 finger-follower defect; no other model-specific pattern failures were found in the sources reviewed.
Fix: Pre-purchase inspection with DME over-rev report.
